Enjoy the movie, and afterwards go grab a bite at the many restaurants near by. Considering we came to this AMC theater after encountering mold minutes before at a different location, they're okay in my book. I really enjoyed the automatic reclining seats, and for the most part everything was pretty clean. On our way out of our theater, we passed up 2 men's and 1 family restroom before we spotted the women's restroom.
Wassup with that? Kind of a weird layout. Any way, that's all. It's in Willowbrook mall. I forgot to take pics (sorry Yelpers), but I like how the little courtyard out front looks.
Wish there were benches for sitting. This movie theater is located in a center with tons of restaurants, and it is good for people in the local area to bring a family, and a few friends to a movie. You can buy your tickets at the box office, or at a machine. You could even buy tickets online and show them to the person at the desk if you don't want to wait for tickets in line. The staff is good, but it could be better at the box office.
I once came here and I lost some tickets due to a miscue when I was going to watch Deadpool. The lady had lost my tickets when my companion forgot his ID back at the house. When we returned to watch the movie, we had lost some money out of that. Other than that, everyone here is considerate and gives free movie passes for compensation. Che: Part One Full Movie In English.
This place also has plenty of concessions, as well as a side bar with many drink options, if you're feeling it. Whenever I go to a movie here, I always enjoy the electrical recliners. They upgraded to these chairs a couple of years ago, and it is a huge improvement over regular chairs.
Other theaters also have done these upgrades, and people seem to enjoy them. The prices for the concessions are a little pricy, but a family can share a large popcorn and get unlimited refills. Same thing goes for large drinks.
They do have that fancy soda machine with tons of drink flavors. Many theaters are located in here, and there are smaller rooms in the back for movies that have been out a while. The bigger theaters are located in the front for big time movies, and I always try to come on opening night some nights. Even though the theater is empty, the midnight premiers are always fun. It will be busy in the daytime through the evening, but come out with a family for a good experience at the theater. My go to movie theater!
It's in a great location, easy to get to, and plenty of parking. The reclining seats are great and if they don't work, a worker comes to your theater and fixes something in the back of the chair to get it going. I don't mind having to purchase my tickets/reserve my seat(s) in advance. Booking tickets is super easy and depending on what movie & how soon it came out, booking an hour in advance will do. I always have gotten a seat in the back (my preference) & have never sat any closer to the screen. I have the AMC app or you can book through Fandango - both are super easy, just show your phone.
If you go to the movies a lot (particularly AMC), I highly recommend you get the Stubs premier membership. It's $1. 5/yr and you get expedited service at the concession stand + $5 ticket Tuesdays + free popcorn & drink upgrade, etc. When I've had to buy my tickets at the box office, lines never took long and employees have always been helpful, especially when I first got my Premier membership and wasn't sure how it worked. This is Hands down the best imax projection one can witness in Houston. It is a true reference Imax venue projecting an 8k image and subwoofer firing down to 1. I don't go to theater to eat food, so can't comment about that. But it's always neat and clean.
Possibly one of my most favorite movie theaters in the whole nation. My favorite theater by far. Reclining seats! Need I say more?!
No bad experiences here except once the AC was out in a theater for a few minutes of film. Didn't bother me. Great concessions, parking on all sides, plenty of pre- movie activities to do around here like ice cream or dinner.
I love you AMC. Careful in the parking lot! Lean back. Went with some friends for a 1. Wonder Woman. Was a lot apprehensive because I stooped frequenting movie theaters because of loud people talking and just cleanliness. Things have changed. There were assigned seats and all the seats reclined.
Which can be a good and bad thing lol). The staff was friendly, restrooms and theaters were clean and no talking. Winning. My friend pre- purchased the tickets so she was able to pick our seats (I'd recommend that). The only part that can be tricky is getting out of the row during the movie - there isn't a lot of leg room when everyone is reclined. Overall it was a great experience. Might be willing to go back but during off peak times. I watched "Planet of the Apes".
This is a comfy theatre. The chairs recline, which is like enjoying a movie from your home recliner. The soda machines are amazing and filled with a variety, plus you can go to the bar or get an icee. The movie was slow, and a tear jerker, but this theater is a fun one to come to. My review is specifically for the Dolby Cinema (Auditorium 1. We made the effort to drive out here to watch Rogue One because I loved the experience at the other Dolby Cinemas I've been to. Unfortunately the Dolby Cinema at this location has what I consider to be a pretty major design flaw.
The door to the auditorium leads straight down the aisle, which means that during the show if anyone enters or leaves the theatre, light from outside the theatre washes out the left side of the screen, it's very distracting and is not inline with a premium theatre experience. I have been to 3 other Dolby Cinemas in NYC, CA, and Vegas and none of them have this issue. Hopefully the other Dolby Cinemas in Houston are better. Worked here as a teen in 2. One big concern was the young kids sneaking in, that is taken care of with reserved seating. Though, 8. 0% of the time I have to ask people to leave my seat. Watch Maximum Risk Online Mic. Better personnel, but still some rude people in the box office.
Horrible when there is a long line, one person ringing people up and then four people chatting. Concession has improved a bit. The restrooms are still oh so awful! Feel like I need to Lysol myself when I leave it is so gross. Overall better, though. I took away two stars due to some personnel and the mast restrooms. As far as crowd, I go during the morning with my kids to avoid the young and unsupervised crowd with a lack of home training.
My favorite movie theatre in Houston. I drive 4. 0 minutes for the red leather recliner seats. I love being able to feel like I'm in my living room. Seats are comfortable, I like getting icees too lol.
The only thing I don't care for is the popcorn already being pre filled in the tubs. I'd rather self serve my own popcorn then pull it from the shelf warmers.
I am a premiere holder and the discounts for food/movies is great. I checked in and sat down in my numbered theater about ten minutes before previews started. The sound wasn't playing for previews.
